CPR for the Professional Rescuer
Purpose:
To teach professional rescuers (those with a duty to act and provide care) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies.Prerequisites:

Objectives•
Learn the role of the professional rescuer in the EMS system;•
Understand how the Emergency Action Principles when providing emergency care for a victim; and•
Learn how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies.Length:
Approximately 7 hours, 50 minutesCertification Requirements:

Attend and participate in all course sessions;•
Demonstrate competency in all required skills listed on the skills checklist;•
Participate in all skills sessions; and•
Pass the final exam with a score of 80 percent or better.Certificate Issued
